Lisa_F
Okay, I know we've covered this topic before, but it's been awhile & considering the vast majority of us are addicted (um, I mean we're collector's) I thought it would be fun to do another house count! So how many houses - finished, still in kit form, rehabbing, etc. do you have now - that you plan to keep in your personal collection? Me, last count I have a total of 20 houses or shops & 1 roombox. 3 dollhouse shells - scratch built by others. The cottage I'm currently working on, the others I haven't started. 1 custom built dollhouse 1 Clell Boyce dollhouse 1 log cabin - partially finished 1 front-opening montgomery - partially built 1 teddy bear shop - built but nowhere near finished 1 shop kit that will be a florist shop - in dry fit 1 shop kit that is still in the box 1 general store kit - still in box 1 Magnolia - still in box 1 Tennyson - still in box 2 Sweethearts - still in box 1 Victoria's Farmhouse - still in box 1 Franklin still in box 1 Adams - completely finished inside & out! (it's the only house I currently have that's completely done!) 1 large scratch built victorian house that I purchased on Craigslist to rehab. Has great bones but needs a major overhauling 1 Willowcrest - still in box 1 roombox done in a Christmas theme - mostly finished Eventually I'll be adding a Brimbles & Rosedale to my collection and someday I want to have a brownstone too. So what do you have?

Lynette Smith
Me? Addicted? Okay, so it's been an hour and a half since I picked up my last kit - the Beacon Hill. It has a place ready for display (some day), on the hearth, right in front of the firebox - it's the perfect size. Currently I have as rehabs/never completed: The Pierce DC Brookfield The Tennyson The McKinley DC San Francisco scratch built gazebo scratch built mystery house, AKA Ravencrest Manor Still in the box: the Glencroft DC Heritage DC Farmhouse 500 DC Newberg DC Linfield the Orchid the Willowcrest the Beacon Hill Completed and given to my niece: the Harrison Completed and given to a charity auction: the DC Sweetheart Cottage? It's been 20 years and I could be mistaken. Completed and on display: 2009 Spring Fling The Pierce will be going to my niece, Kaela. The DC Farmhouse is to go to my niece, Jalaire. I'd like to do a house for the Festival of Trees, but I'm not sure that I could afford to decorate the interior with furniture. There are still houses out there calling to me, even though I don't have the space!

pdlnpeabody
I just have the two scratch-builts. Technically, the Victorian B&B isn't quite finished yet, but it keeps winning at shows, so I count it as a completed house. Once it is completed, it will go on the auctioning block if one will take it. The Tudor is for my daughter, but it will be the best miniature I have ever built. champagne
I have 10 all listed in my signature. 7 still in boxes and the 3 I am currently working on. However, as I stated before I have really lost interest in the Alexandria after I had gotten my greenleaf houses. It is just too big and bulky and I have not worked on it in months. I would really like to give it away but my SO seems to have issues with it. And I can truly understand why since we have hundreds if not more invested in it. It is too bad I do not have any young female nieces then I could probably talk him into it.
Bee
over the past few years my bedroom has gone from being a mini housing development to a staging area for various health professionals and ems crews whose job it is to pick me up off the floor. i have been forced to downsize like crazy. now i have only 1 custom built townhouse 1 rehabbed homemade side-of-the-road child's plaything from the 1970s 1 2-room roombox 1 shop 1-- oh dear-- 1 RL 3-shelf armoire with 3 connected roomboxes per shelf which altogether (in my mind) constitute the elegant 9-room townhouse of mr. george dorrit and his wife pandora. sort of my poor excuse for an english style (front-opening) dh. i am scrambling to make room for one more....
