pinkhare
As I slowly finish up my first dollhouse have to admit I get a little intimidated by some of you veteran dollhouse builders . So Show me your first dollhouse ! Cause everyone starts out at the same place so to speak .

butlerestates
My first house is in my Gallery and titled as that. Take a look. I started big so that way I knew if I could accomplish that then I knew I could do any house I wanted. Don't know where that reasoning came from but oh well. So far so good. justmesue
My very first house was the Lemon Twist. My very first tab-n -slot house was the Beacon Hill. Both are in my gallery.
Nileke
My first house is the Laurel. As you can see it's a work in progress. The whole building process is documented in my gallery, by the way.
rbytsdy
Here's mine, the Lily also... I wish I could redo it-- I've learned so much since then...!
Steve_in_PA
My first 'house' was an outhouse !! I just wanted to see if I could build something. As time goes on, you learn more & make bigger & better projects. Steve in PA
what2craftnow
My first house was the Orchid, but we soon parted company as we just didn't seem to like each other..at all So that being said, I then started the Tudor Primrose - so I consider that my "first" <pics in gallery>
wenlaine
Mine was the Beacon Hill. It taught me all the things never to do when building a dollhouse. It was a great learning experience.
Roxxie
My first dollhouse was made from vegetable boxes that my Dad kept in the garage. They were made from slats of some kind of thin wood that I ripped apart and reconstructed. I sure wish I had it still! My first "REAL" dollhouse was the Jefferson that I no longer have either but would like to build again someday and do it "right".lol
Sherry
Actually, my first dollhouse was a plywood box that my boyfriend built for me in high school and I made into a 'colonial home' for a history class project. As I recall, I made the furniture out of cardboard boxes and painted a chimney on the side and cut pieces of fabric for 'quilts' on the beds. i did make an A on it, though! havanaholly
The first kit I ever built was the SF555 (Dura-Craft) back before I knew anything about computers or the internet, and it went to the eldest granddaughter and is no more. Corwin
Um well, I don't have pics of my first built house, but let me assure you i have come a very long way in 9 years, and i am 20, what did you expect for an eleven year old? I thought it looked good, for an elven year old. ;) I gutted a lundby house first.
Jo Med
My first doll house was not really a build at all, just a decorating project on a mass produced wooden house from a toy shop. Villa Madeleine just screwed together and was very simple to assemble - picture below. I bought it as a Christmas (2008) present for my baby granddaughter and had so much fun doing it I decided I wanted to build a bigger one just for me (and maybe to give to her when she is old enough to appreciate it) I chose the biggest I could find, the Garfield which I began in January 2009 and I'm still building it. I consider this to be my first build as this is where I have really learned about DH building and mini making - a hobby I'm so pleased to have stumbled across.
