OOOOHHHH Greg...a Beacon Hill. I just started it today and it looks to be a fun build. Which one are you going to build next?

Maybe the Westville or the Glencroft. I'll have room to build them now bwcause our tenants are moving out in three weeks and we will have the other half of our duplex for us also. Plenty of room for lots of houses until Russ' mom move in later this year, but I'm still gonna snag one of her bedrooms for my dollhouse room.

It's great to see that I'm in good company

Beacon hill (very slow progress)

Rosedale (built, but not decorated)

And as of last nite, I won a Willowcrest on Ebay !

I just couldn't help myself...I keep thinking one day there won't be any left and I'll miss out...I was obsessed, lol. Oh well, hopefully I can catch the mailman/ups and store it away til I finish the other 2,lol.

Congrats on the Willowcrest, I was gonna bid on it last night but chickened out at the last minute because I thought it was gonna go for a lot more. Congrats on a great buy at a great price, I'm glad someone here got it.

In my closet stash I have

The Taft

The Peirce

The Buttercup

the Orchid

1/2 scale castle

The Allison

The houseboat never made it to the stash closet because it is next to be put together

seems to me Im missing one or 2 but than maybe not.

at the moment I have 10 houses in various stages in this room/workroom

4 in the bedroom

and 3 in the living room

this is not including all of the 1/144th scale houses

or the Buttercup in Catriona's room.

writing it all down makes me feel bad about hoarding kits.....NOT

I have been staying away from e-bay coz I promised my DH no more buying of miniatures til Ernie's 50% off sale. in April.

bummer huh?

Margarita, all I can say is  WOW :cheer:

it looks like alot when you make a list :D most are in the basement, but i have one kit here int he office, some in the spare bedroom, some in the family room. I've looked around the house, i can fit alot of small houses in spaces and about 4-5 more med sized in the bedroom ...don't know about the big kits! It's an addiction and hobby to collect the kits. It's my enjoyment to do this since i don't have kids it's not a big deal. I have more on my wishlist

Aren't these lists what dreams are made of? This thread is like a treasure trove. It's exciting to know that so many of us share this passion.

Sports fans love their sport stats ... here we love our dollhouses.

Well, don't I feel like a newb....HAHA I have just one
That's because the "right" house hasn't caught your eye yet and started speaking to you. When it happens, be warned, it won't leave you alone until you get it!
I feel completely justified in buying one now.
What justification? Unless it's a choice between your family going homeless, naked & hungry or another kit, you don't need to justify it.

Greg,

I couldn't believe I won the Willowcrest--I had been watching it for the past 4 days or so...I waited until 6 min before the auction ended before I bid, so I wouldn't "bid up the price"...up until that point there was only 1 bid.( I hate that it will have to sit and wait to be worked on, but I'm happy I got it now.) I was really worried I was going to wind up in a bidding war....who knew :ohyeah:

:hide: Hi Cathy, you almost had a bidding war with me. LOL. But I'm so glad you got it. I'm watching so many houses right now that having to wait a little longer to get this kit will not kill me.

When you do get around to building it we'll be needing pictures, we love the I candy. :ohyeah:

Greg! I am with you 100%, I feel so good just knowing the kits are here even though they are in boxes!

I was going to count Marg's kits, but my brain got tired and then my calculator started to spit blue sparks. :hide: Now that's a collection that is nothing less than awe inspiring. :ohyeah:

Lemme think.........in the box I have a Pierce, a Haunted House, two or three Orchids, an RGT front opening shoppe, the houseboat and a Beacon Hill. There's a Willowcrest on the table now and the BH is next up. Now that I think about it, I realize I haven't added any kits in quite awhile. I gotta do something about that!!!! My stash is dwindling!
