SuuS
Hi everyone, I'm Susanne from Zaltbommel in the Netherlands. I'm almost 27 years old! I loved dollhouses for years and I finally bought one! My new Garfield dollhouse arrived friday. I hope to learn a lot from everyone on the forum. I will also place photos of my dollhouse on this forum, so... There's just one question now: What is the scale of my dollhouse. On the box it says: Scale 1" = 1' See ya Suus
Hallowell
WELCOME :wave Every inch of the house = one foot, so if your house is 30 inches long it would translate to thirty feet in full size.

kokkie
Hoi Suzanne, Welcome, Zaltbommels meisje, as you have read almost every question can be answered here, happy building. 1:1 ( voor mij is dat helzelfde als 1 op 12, ik zou even de maten nemen van je huis en vergelijken met hoogte en breedte van je eigen huis)

Missymew
Hi and welcome Susanne! The scale 1" = 1' is also referred to as 1:12 scale. Most of the Greenleaf dollhouse kits are made in that scale. -Susanne

havanaholly
Welcome a day late, but warmly, nevertheless. You will have a lot of fun building the Garfield, it's a large and elegant house that I think would be a lot of fun to let your imagination loose to decorate it. Do share pictures with us as you build it

Shy Spirit
Welcome to the community! 1:12 - one inch equals 12 inches/one foot, or Standard scale, has been the more popular scale among "modern" miniaturists for a long time. Due to constraints of space, and maybe the urge for a challenge; smaller scales are growing in popularity. 1:24, or half-scale - one inch equals 24 inches/2 feet. 1:48, or quarter-scale - one inch equals 48 inches/4 feet - and even smaller than these! Standard scale is challenging enough for me!
