NEW new fireplace, Revisited

For those of you who didn't see the original topic a few weeks ago, I broke my first, beautiful Lawbre fireplace and have been just obsessing on the possibility that the first was beginners' luck and I'd never be able to make it look as nice again.

Thanks to all of your kind remarks and great suggestions, I've completed the New new fireplace and wonder what you think. There will be the ubiquitous mantle clock, maybe candlesticks (?) and whatever I can find that might fit on those tiny, tiny shelves along the sides. So far I've just added pictures of the homeowners, Emma and Polly, and one tiny porcelain bird. I think the style of the fireplace is so cool that I don't really want to overwhelm it with stuff. Any comments / suggestions?

Your fireplace is wonderful--I love it! I agree with you and would try to not overwhelm its detail with a bunch of nick nacks. I would add the items that you mentioned and not too much more after that. Although I bet it would look incredible decorated for the holidays with lights and garland.
