Lisa R.
We have a great tech shop near us ( a place where anyone can use the machines) and dh wanted to use the milling machine. The classes to use each machine - safety training etc - are just $30. Then you can join for a day, a month or a year. As I needed some laser cut pieces for my house - ones that lasertech doesn't make - he also took the laser cut and engraving classes. The machine just interfaces to coreldraw so I used autocad to create a dxf file that can be read by coreldraw and he took that along. Here are my window inserts for the larger/taller houseworks windows to match the ones that are made by lasertech. Now this one was a trial and is cut out of high density pressboard but next week we get to try mahogany 1/16" thick. I also have some engraving motifs to try in 1/8" mahogany - I'll let you know how it goes. Lisa R.
