Can't decide

I have narrowed it down to two choices for the visible wall in the stairway in my Glencroft. I can't decide so I thought I would ask for some opinions from you guys. Let me know which one you like. Thanks.

Oh, by the way, the house is laying on it's left side, so I had to lay on the floor to take these shots. Note to self: Stay off the floor..it's too hard to get up.

I like the white. Looks classy! (on the floor?? Last time I was on the floor it was 'cuz I fell down there and couldn't get up!! ?The cats loved it, though. "Hey, Mom! You're on our level!! Let's play!!" )

Doh, it may have helped if I had told you where I was going with the house. It is a English Garden House. Lots of plants, flowers, garden type stuff, etc.etc. I have a couple of white wire pieces for it also. When I look at the interior of the house, I want it to say...Spring...light, airy and beautiful. I think both papers are wonderful. They are leftover from the roombox I made, so a part of it will carry on. Argh!! I still can't decide. DH just asked me why my house is sitting sideways on the floor. I told him cuz I can't decide which paper to use. Now, if I could only keep Newman out of it.

This was taken while the house was sitting on the kitchen counter. What's a mom to do?

OK, wild idea here but it is getting "late" over here so... What if you used them both, sort of half and half with an added border where they would meet?

I know, I know not much of a help am I??

I like the half and half idea, too, with the green on the bottom to contract the white below and the other above for added light in the top of the stairwell. Skinny sticks painted white would make a good break between the two.

I'd go with the green. Nice shade too. The paper pattern looks to large in scale with the stairs. Also, with a solid wall the possibilities to hang photos etc going up the staircase would be much nicer than with a busy wallpaper.

Thanks to everyone who gave their opinion. I have decided to go with the green. I truly tried to incorporate the patterned white paper, first using the half and half, then tried with just an outline above the steps. It just didn't work. Now, if I can get the wall on straight, we will be in business. Thanks again!

And the green is a lovely compliment to Newman's ginger coat. <grinning> Since he seems to have taken up residence there, you have no choice but to plan the decor around him.
