kellee
IT'S HERE IT'S HERE !!! The doorbell rang and I took a leap for the door.... missed all 5 steps.!! LOL I opened the end..... I have to clear of the dining room table for this one.! It is sorta a foam core looking stuff but with a plastic feel to it... not sure what it is..... OH, but it is BEAUTIFUL! I am so thrilled.! There was no cleaning or construction crew, and there were no chocolates.! but the house is all I really needed.! So are we all doing a construction blog together on this.? I think that would be so neat to keep a log of us building this gorgous house.! Ok, Well I have to go stick it behind the hutch so nothing can happen to it.! dogs, & Kids.! can be rather interesting.. Thank You Dean ! I love this house !! MiniMadWoman
Mine just came. the doorbell rang and I ran for the door. Alas, the cleaning crew, construction crew and chocolates were gone, but the wonderful box from Dean was there! I opened it. Weird material. Feels like rubbery cardboard. Can't wait to start it! What kind of glue was recommended again? I believe Tracy suggested 'Quick Grip' glue. I'll have to pick some up tomorrow. Boo Hoo, mine hasn't come yet, but it's only 4:00, so hopefully it will get here soon! I don't want it to rain on the red carpet!! :tongue4:

heidiiiii
Hey everybody.. feeling a lil better today. I think the blog idea is great. I wont be touching it until after October. (which is only 10 days away ) Andrew, one word that popped into my head when I first touched the stuff was polystyrene. I do not know why but it did...LOL It has some stiffness like foamcore but has some give to it. It reminds me of that foam they use in those kits to make doorhangers and stuff...if you know what I mean..In the kids section of craft stores. But stronger.. Maybe Dean said what it was made of in the contest post.
Bruce
He said it was synthetic.
ellencouch
I'm well impressed with the 10 day delivery time of my White Orchid kit!!! Surface mail usually takes a couple of months. The kit looks beautiful, thank you soooooo much Ellen
