queenannediva
The owner of that beauty is the Prince of Qatar. He was at Chicago International this past April shopping and the French shop was on display at Kensington in May. In USD that is about $165,000.00 Valerie
KathieB
‘It took a year to complete,’ says Susie. ‘We like to leave our “calling card”. Our snaps are in some of the frames.’ I had to smile when I read this. NJ and I put our photos in a frame on a dresser in the house we did for the hospital.

havanaholly
The Princess and the Pea window display was cute; all of the window displays reminded me of some of the old department store windows when I was growing up; most of them no longer tell a story to display merchandise. moonberry
The owner of that beauty is the Prince of Qatar. He was at Chicago International this past April shopping and the French shop was on display at Kensington in May. In USD that is about $165,000.00 I visited my Emirati friend and dollhouse enthusiast this morning and told her about the house in the article. She immediately said "oh, that's So-and-So's house. He isn't a prince, but he is the minister of XYZ in Qatar, I know him." It really is a very small world out here hehehehehe. I really wish I could go and see his collection, apparently he is quite in love with miniatures! My friend is in talks with some of the Ruler's staff about opening a Dollhouse and Doll Museum in the old Sheikh's house museum complex Dubai toward the end of the year. All her dollhouses will go on display there, and she is bequeathing them to the Dubai Government. I might also help out there on the odd occasion, we'll see. So exciting to have some Middle Eastern miniaturists getting together and putting the spotlight on the hobby!!!

pdlnpeabody
Yeah, I wish. Both times I went to Chicago International, I was told about wealthy Middle Easterners showing up and buying some of the most expensive pieces there. I never saw them. It seems every time I try to find business at a show, wrecks, weather and anything else that could possibly prevent success, happens. Lene, if your friend would like another house, send her or him my number!
Demiguise
That is a gorgeous house! My eyes glazed over a bit at the collection of handbags. That's a weakness of mine, regardless of the size! ;)
