Shakyshaky
Okay I made these and was thinking of selling them. My question is would you ( as a customer) rather buy the kit or the finished plant? Or at all?
KathieB
I make my own plants (see avatar), but I think you'd find buyers for both the finished and kit versions. It's nice to have a choice.
ilovecats
Those hanging baskets are cute! As a customer, i'd buy either completed or kit.
havanaholly
The finished baskets are really nice, Melanie, but I'd rather do them as a kit, too (have been tinking about it, in fact...).
Minis On The Edge
I sell premade flowers all of the time. I think you will find crafty people wanting kits and some people would rather buy them made. I personally do a bit of both myself. I make flowers but I also like to buy them already made. Those look wonderful Melanie!!
Gayle
The baskets are charming. I agree with everyone, both.
Hallowell
I like to buy them finished.
Kalygirl
I think it would depend if I were feeling motivated or lazy.....but I would go either way, and those are nice looking flowers Melanie!
Missymew
Melanie - Those are very nice hanging baskets. I've tried making flowers from kits, but so far they're not my favourite minis to make. I'd prefer to buy them already made up. -Susanne
chesterfieldzoo
I'd rather buy hanging baskets finished. I like to buy plants for landscaping individually so I can arrange them in the beds myself. I have no interest in making any plants. (not yet anyway)
Shakyshaky
Here is another one. Don't know if I would offer a kit of this one.
havanaholly
Ooo, I want to make spider plants one day! I want to make apider plant baskets to hang from my Craftsman Bungalow side-porch.
MiniMadWoman
Melanie, you've done a really nice job on your hanging plants! I'd rather buy them premade and ready to hang!
Peggi
I'd like to be able to make my own, but I would probably have more plants if I bought them premade! Really for me it would have more to do with the difference in the price on whether I would buy the kit or the already made.
Shakyshaky
Okay guys, I listed finished plants and kits on ebay. Let me know what you think of the prices.
Blondie
Those kits are GREAT! Love it. I searched for "hanging plant" and found them. In one screen it said $3.50 and when I "checked other items" it was $5.00. Wait--I bet that was $5 total with shipping...duh. I think that is a great price. Now if only I was further along with my house and into the decorating stage... But I know where to find you when I need them!!
havanaholly
I thought the kits were the lower price and the finished plants were the higher one, no?
KathieB
Melanie ... your presentation is very nice. I wonder about noting the need for wire cutters in the fern kit description. Can the wires be cut with regular household scissors? Can you cut the wires to size and include them in the kit? Someone who doesn't have wire cutters may shy away. Also, can you take a picture of the items included in the kit? When I buy a kit, I like to know what I'm getting in addition to what it should look like. Hope you do well with them! Shakyshaky
The wire is too much for most house hold scissors. I didn't want to pre cut the pieces because I wanted to give the person doing it the choice to make the leaves bigger or smaller. The kits are $3 and the finished ones are $5.
