Anette
Well, I just got home and guess what my little brother surprised me with?? Yes, my mini travel trailer! I'm super excited. I've never built one before. So, I'm thinking I want it to have a Christmas theme and have a Santa Claus living there! The last house I build I already knew what colors and wallpaper I was going to use and I also shopped for stuff before I got it. But with this trailer I haven't had a chance to think what color I want to paint it or anything. I think I'm going to go to Micheals and see if the have any holiday scrapbook paper for the walls. Any tips or ideas you guys have for me are welcome! :woohoo:

KathieB
What a fun idea! I just KNEW Santa had to have some alternate means of transportation for really foggy nights. Rudolph's getting a bit long in the tooth for long rides! Or is this where he lives when he summers in Arizona?

havanaholly
Or is this where he lives when he summers on Arizona? He & Ernestine winter over at Lake Point State Park near Eufala, AL, and he just heads back to the Pole to pack out the sleigh & deliver the toys. The rest of the winter he's the campground host and feeds all the deer in the park so they stay out of the NWA nextdoor during hunting season (actually the host, a snowbird, and his wife do feed the deer, and he looks a lot like Santa with a shave!) I wound up with two of the travel trailer kits and haven't had time to touch either one, BUT I recommend you go to an RV show, or pick up brochures from local dealers to get ideas. Also, I followed David's suggestion & got the wooden tire-wheels to use on them when I do get around to them.
CJEP
Congratulations!! I got mine about a week ago and having been trying to figure out what to do with it. I started to put it together without painting and it goes together so easily. Can't wait to see what you do. Your idea sounds great. I think I'm going to try to make mine like the camper we had when I was young and do a scene from my family trip across the country. Good luck!!
