Hallowell
It seems to me that lately in my area there has been an abundance of dollhouses. Just tonite while driving home from work I noticed a vintage dollhouse in an antique shop window just across from my house. I checked it out and decided to pass on it even though it was cute. Then just a few minutes ago I had a knock at the front door, it was an elderly gentleman who asked me if I was the dollhouse guy. Well he had a vintage house in the back of his van that he was selling for his church. It was also cute but I passed on this one also. I'm hoping that with this trend I run across that treasure that we all look for, but I'm willing to wait.
Syphon79
Wow! Wish my area was like that -- that's like dollhouse paradise!
grynche
Not going to look in store windows, not answering my door. Nope. Got enough to do right now. Dang, there's the doorbell.

minifan
I think there's something in the air!!! I've been seeing an abundance lately too...but I just chalked it up to it being Christmas time and a gift that all girls want, I've even seen more in the aisles at Toys R Us that were never there before...(we were watching the Santa Clause 3 last night and at the very end there is a baby blue finished Vermont Farmhouse Jr.), my husband was like "no way you saw that!" sure enough the rewind on Comcast showed it in all it's 2.2 second glory!!! LLyn M.
Ha! I haven't had people knocking down my door, but I have realised that when I watch Tv now I'm checking out the types of houses-the siding-the style,colors,layouts- stuff I never noted before! I love it!!
Roxxie
I just saw a dollhouse being moved in some Christmas commercial on tv. I never noticed them before. I also saw one in a house in a movie. I never see dollhouses for sale or anywhere around here at all. There must be dollhouse elves snatching them up!
justmesue
I can't look either. I even passed on a trip to the dh shop last weekend.(DH CHECKED TO SEE IF I WAS RUNNING A FEVER)lol I have to finish the Cranberry, rehab the Allison, build the Taft, build the Micheal's house Fairy cottage, and also have the 1/2 scale Country House awaiting. Of course, the one thing about dh kits, they don't go bad if it takes awhile to get to them. I just couldn't handle all the crying noises they would make, if I were to buy more right now...and since I can't trust myself not to buy more, I gotta stay away from anywhere they may be lurking...just waiting to get attached to me, and follow me home. It's not even safe to go browsing in the GL store, 'cause I still have this notion that the Taft wants to be bashed with another house to accommodate a family that will run the store, living upstairs, or bebind it.... Nileke
Lol, Greg 'the dollhouse guy'! So very true. Just as well I don't have that reputation, because I don't even have any space left to even store anything. There are stacked boxes everywhere on the floor, and my 2 house kits are on the floor behind my bed. Is there a particular vintage house you're hoping for, Greg? I'm becoming more interested in vintage houses myself, since I'm going to pick up a vintage Danish house (30+ yrs) somewhere next week. havanaholly
It doesn't hurt that Greg's official, ever since he & his little houses were featured in a magazine article! If you're going to be a dh celeb, I guess you have to come to expect these things!lol
Hallowell
Hi Marianne  I think one of the dreamhouses that I so want to run into is the Seaside Villa from Norm's Dollhouses. It's not vintage but it just has a qaulity that I like. I am also still looking for that perfect sell my soul vintage house that I know is out there somewhere.

Greg, you & Russ may need to make a sign for the house: "Foundling Dollhouse Home".
