rackey
I wonder what possesses some people to do certain things. I would have never imagined this, but when I first looked at the picture, I thought I want to be on this plane.

Blondie
It is so fun to look at all of the photos again and again. I look forward to seeing what he comes up with in the future! It also makes me look at manilla folders in a whole new way.
KathieB
Amazing. I looked at his flikr pages. There is a photo of a can of cocoa that is identified as what started it all. would love to know more about that!

Kathie I clicked the pic of the cocoa can & this caption came up: This project started out very simply—I traced a can of cocoa to make the initial fuselage cross-section. This was long before I started designing on the computer.
KathieB
Thanks, Mike. I didn't know that the photos had captions. Who knew what danger lurks in the kitchen cupboard -- his life was hijacked by a can of cocoa -- but aren't we glad it was!
Selkie
I think it's absolutely fantastic. I could never wrap my head around all those calculations and intricacies. He is certainly gifted. But I'll tell ya, the thing that totally bugs me is the nasty comments that get made after people post their incredible creations. Under some of this fellows things there are downright mean comments about the fact he needs to "get a life", or what is "wrong" with a person who would spend so much time on something, or being a weirdo because he enjoys this sort of thing, etc. What possess people to be so mean? If they don't want to do it, just don't. Why slam someone who has a creative mind/gift? sigh .... people confuse me sometimes.
Blondie
Internet trolls are everywhere. I don't even "see" them or acknowledge them after so many years of having my own blog. They are the people who truly have nothing better to do!

I don't even "see" them or acknowledge them after so many years of having my own blog. They are the people who truly have nothing better to do! Experience with these types suggests, to me, that creativity frightens and challenges these people; they either lack or have suppressed their own creativity and/ or cannot give themselves permission to express it. Whether it's jealousy or frustration or just plain meanness that impels these thoughtless, cruel and hateful remarks, I have to pity the people who make them. How awful and sad to have to live with the fact that this is all you can let yourself do. I have my own RL nay-sayer, should we happen to visit, and I have lots of experience tuning that sort of thing out.
