justmesue
The Washington and I are at a standstill. The upstairs living quarters are finished. I had plans for the first floor 2 rooms to be a junk store of some sort. Now, it's telling me it would like to be filled with musical instruments down there. I've indulged the whim and have the stuff. My favorite is a drum set, looks like the real ones in bands. Anyway, as the title says:"What does the drummer sit on to play the drums?' I know that's silly, but even when watching the Tonight Show-I couldn't tell what the guy sits on. LOL Any band player /drummers out there who could tell me? Does it make a difference what his seat is?
Corwin
My sisters drum set which was a real expensive set came with a simple stool that matche the drums, the front of the drums had a logo on it same as the stool.
Sherry
Stools are what I've always seen-probably ones that swivel, wouldn't you think?
New Day
this is what I think of, but if you do a google image search for drum kit stool, there are other types. HTH!
chesterfieldzoo
That is the kind of stool I always see them sitting on. No wheels though, and sometimes they don't swivel.
Anna
Mine did look something like that when I still had it around, only less padded... Hugs
justmesue
Thanks. I really was clueless about this one.
chesterfieldzoo
Giggle, you don't hang out at the bar enough.
justmesue
LOL- Haven't been in a bar for 23 years. That tiny town bar didn't have drums-just a violin and a piano.
sparklepuppies
A throne. Seriously, that's what they are called. But yeah, just a stool, ours looks like the one posted earlier. Sounds like a neat house! Can't wait to see the instrument collection.
SallyG
My husband is a drummer and yes, they use a specific type of stool...but I believe they usually do swivel.
doogster
A drum stool is called a throne (why? I have no idea). Here's a whole lot to get you going: http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/dru...s-parts/thrones
justmesue
Thanks Andrew. I quite enjoyed looking at that sight. I knew there had to be specific items with variations, just like a piano has a bench!
doogster
No problem, glad to help. If you do play, they're great to deal with.
