My favorite quote came to me after I lost my first husband but I have forgotten the author.....

There is a land of the dead and a land of the living......the bridge is LOVE.

I always thought of it as the journey of healing and then once I found DH #2 I added to the quote as follows....

There is a land of the dead and a land of the living...the bridge is LOVE.....isn't love grand? :)

michelle, i love your quotes about the bridge, and your addition. :)

my partner died in 2003. the grandkids' dollhouse projects are a way to honor her, sending her love along with mine to the little ones.

From Edna St. Vincent Millay:

Down, down, down into the darkness of the grave

Gently they go, the beautiful, the tender, the kind;

Quietly they go, the intelligent, the witty, the brave.

I know. But I do not approve. And I am not resigned.

I'm so glad no one has posted: been there, done that, cause then I'd have had to kill myself.

Here's a beautiful quote from one of the most successful films of all time, wonder if anyone will recognize it:

Who is the more foolish, the fool, or the fool who follows him?

I found those quote last nigh at work while looking through a book on building timberframe houses...

Ah, to build, to build! That is the noblest of all the arts.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I had to share because build is indeed what we all do and it is an art form, especially in miniature.

Here's to us....

You're on your own.

And you know what you know.

You are the one who'll decide where to go.”

This one is from my mother who is nearly 80 yrs old. I hope I remember this correctly, it's cute. :D

Dear Ladys and Jellyspoon

I'm here before you, to stand behind you,

to tell you something I know nothing about.

This monday, which will be good friday,

there is a father's meeting for mother's only.

Admission free, pay at the door,

take a chair and sit on the floor.

 Ever stop to think,

and forget to start again? :D

One of our cats, Trinity, does this frequently. Her brain reaches overload capacity very quickly. She does have a reset button; however, just toss a sponge ball and she'll chase after it.
