havanaholly
If I had any room on any of our bookshelves for something like that I'd have room for all my dollhouses!

Elsbeth
I've seen a lot of the harry potter nooks - they are very cute with the little streets: https://www.etsy.com/listing/778599774/book-nook-bookshelf-insert-magic-alley

havanaholly
Jenn, does your kit include all the furnishings & accessories? It's really lovely.

Have you seen those storage boxes/book shaped boxes at Michael's? I have been wanting to do some kind of Vignette with one.

No furnishing included - that's a separate package for sale.
Elsbeth
There are also Book Rooms from Petworth minis which are little book (3-4 inches high) that have rooms in them. Those come with the furnishings. The Book Nooks are 8 or 9 inches tall and roomier than the book rooms. I did the Sherlock Book room from Petworth and loved it. It's 1:48, so it's tiny!! Mid-life madness
@fov I think you did an excellent job! I think I will pick one up next time I am at Michael's. I have a friend who shares my love for Jane Austen and I think a porcelain doll in regency garb might be nice in a simple scene.
jbnmini
ok....now you've all got me sketching out a fairy tale version book nook!! Thanks! LOL
fov
Something I don't like about those book boxes is that they're hard to display. If you turn it sideways to display with the cover open, so you can see the scene, it doesn't look like a book anymore, and if you display it on a shelf with other books then you can't easily open the cover to see inside. The book nooks are cool since you view them through where the spine would be - I like how they can be on a bookcase like a regular book but give an illusion of depth. Medieval
I think I'm hooked...I'll be looking for one at Michael's, maybe I can bash it to open the spine up....
