I vote for no staircase. I like the airy feel the rooms now have and think a staircase might make them feel somewhat cramped. The ghost can float up through the ceiling, can't she?

It is lovely! No stairs, they will get in the way of it. I didn't put stairs in my Aster for the same reason... it is just too small to accommodate them without compromising the rest of the house.
