Dean woke me up to a dozen pink roses and a silly card.....we dont do mushy cards. we try to out do each other with silly. ohh and some Peanutbuttercups because if I get the urge for chocolate thats what I enjoy.

I had a very nice day...got to spend some time at Hobby Lobby using my 40%

coupon on my son a Christmas pressie. got some more scrapbooking papers at 50%off.

Tomorrow is Maple Leaf here in our town....big Parade at 9am...car show/craft fair

and band festival starting at 12pm. after we make the rounds we will be joining my SIL and her DH for dinner and maybe some Casino action at one of the Indian casinos we have around here. I havent been before....if Im just gonna toss money around I generally prefer to waste it on Minis! :D

but its her Birthday tomorrow.

the best present came this evening when my oldest son who is in the Marines

called to tell me he got permission to take Embassy Gaurd training and will be doing that in Jan meaning he will be home for Christmas. his first in 2 yrs.

depending on how well he does in his schooloing will decide his future placement.

crossing fingers.

Thanks sooo much for all the well wishes!!

Nutti, so glad your Marine will be home for Xmas. With a daughter in the Air Guard who has been deployed in the past. I know how much this means to a mother. Luckily she has not been away at Xmas (left right after once but at least was here to open presents). Also glad the rest of you Day was good.

Happy belated birthday wishes, Nutti! No wonder you like Halloween so much...!!! It seems most people I know born around this time of year, LOVE this time of year! I wish I could come and play in the leaves and grab a KING size Reeses for us to share! Great news about your son, too. It's bittersweet, Motherhood. I have a just-turned-two year old and one that will be 4 in January, and I'm going to be 41 in November. I still have some time yet before they fly on their own...starting school is going to be hard enough! :(

ty everyone!

I have to agree with you about motherhood being bittersweet

but after you get used to them not at home its kind of nice.

and than there is the perk of grandbabies!

so although I am down to one of my babies home I now look forward to days spent alone and in quiet. I have found I really enjoy quiet.

and so that you know...I balled like a baby when my babies each started school

but the youngest was the hardest....so hugg them babies and ENJOY!!

soon they will be teenagers!!

and once again I must thank each of you for making my Birthday special!!

nutti :(
