L Swearengin
So glad she's been adopted. I just don't understand why people toss them.

havanaholly
It looks as if it might be coming apart, so perhaps it was originally built with hot glue. It's just as easy to take it apart with a heat gun or hair dryer and scrape off the hot glue and rebuild it properly with wood glue as to stick it out on the curb.

Probably the same mindset shared by one of my nephews, who has expressed irritation at having to store the house my father built for my sister and me. It has passed down to his wife (my sister's daughter) and their daughter, who is still too young to play with it. It was built by her great grandfather, f''goodness sake. The man doesn't seem to have a sentimental bone in his body. *sigh*
