cmsciulli
I have been a miniature hobbyist for a bit now. . . primarily in the historical and fantasy miniature war gaming hobby. I enjoy working with 25mm/28mm figures and buildings the most, but I will also work in the 15mm scale as well. Here are some pics of my past projects, for anyone who is interested! This is a vignette I made for a painting contest last summer. It is based on the painting "A Chasseur's Fate" by Kieth Rocco: I had to convert the figures to get close to the correct poses:
cmsciulli
Some more Napoleonic figures, these are command stand commissions for a client: A unit of French Hussars I painted and donated to a Toys for Tots auction at a gaming convention:

cmsciulli
Nice work !! I could never make my hands work with anything that small. That's why I try to avoid anything less than 15mm, lol! Does THIS ever bring back memories! What figure lines did you used to paint/game with? havanaholly
I painted them for a friend who gamed, mostly dragons and the occasional wizard. I have some 35mm polystyrene Japanese figures packed somewhere that I painted for myself, who normally live in a shadowbox; and four 15mm Scots warriors my friend gave me that I also painted for myself; but no pictures. pdlnpeabody
Excellent work! I'll have to find a way to scan photos I took of the Necron army I had for a short time.
gamma
Definitely you have a great talent for painting as well as for making dioramas...Congratulations I am a military miniatures collector since the early 60s (60s...of last century eheheh); i used oil paints for most of my miniatures, now my hand is not to steady to go on...I do not want an army of squint eyed people. These are some miniatures i painted
pdlnpeabody
I see a couple Imperial Space Marines in there, Sergio. I have conquered many of them on the battlefield.

miladygrey
Those are amazing! My hubby would love those - he is into gaming with all those little types of figures - though the last few years have been mainly WW II Era

havanaholly
Miniaturists come in all shapes & sizes, just like miniatures themselves.
-defunct account-
Hubby and friends are pretty into Warhammer 40K. He paints and flocks all his models and game boards. It works great on one hand because there's never any funny stares when the other buys a mini, but sometimes my tools "wander off"
havanaholly
Paint the handles of YOUR tools with PINK! nail polish or Rustoleum.
-defunct account-
HAH, that wouldn't stop him for a moment, he might have a good chuckle at me though. I'd have to paint them with some male dancers to keep him away..and I'm not that good ;)

CheckMouse
I've never done the gaming but those figures are beautiful! I use a lot of the N-gauge train people in my micro houses, and I could buy a package of unpainted assorted figures for a fraction of the price, but I look at those tiny things and I'm just not sure I could paint them effectively. I'd like to see one of your horse/rider pieces next to a Hershey's Kiss (candy) to get the perspective. Can't quite envision how small they are. cmsciulli
Google images of the Chippendales and decoupage them on handles! Hahaha, you guys are killing me! I might not have a Hersey Kiss at hand, but I could take a quick photo next to some coins or something else tonight, if you would like? I could stick a finger in the shot too ;-)
