glen
Sorry, don't send abusive E-mails. Back when I first joined here someone posted some pics of a house just starting under construction. Here's were it gets hazy 'cause I don't clearly remember. In the middle of the multistory house, which was being built modern, was a cavernous area (as I remember) with a modern, cantilevered stairwell in or near the middle I think....... it had a tiled floor, I think……the stairs were modern materials……..I think. Yes I know, I hate it when people give terrible descriptions, but I've been wondering for ages how this house ended. Ring any bells anyone???? Cheers anonymous. darrellandmelissa
The description sort of remins me of someone "Pierce" or "Garfield" I seem to rember a pretty staircase upgrade in someones house. I can see the pic in my mind, but can not recal the house or who made it. I think it may have beem made by Deb, but I am not sure. Deb
I'm not sure if that was my Pierce or not. The words "cavernous" and "staircase upgrade" would apply, but it's not modern and there's no tile floor. Was this the picture you were thinking of Glen? It's probably the one Melissa is remembering. http://community.webshots.com/photo/487298...078547631rwIovZ Here's a link to the finished product: http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/i...&cmd=si&img=967 The staircase is the same one you used in your house so this may not be of much help. Grandma
I lve that house, just imagine living there! Joan
Deb
Thanks Marg and Joan. I really do love that house. It's my baby. (seriously, I say good night to it on the way to bed every night) Glen, you've really got me wondering about the staircase picture now. I'm positive I've seen the one you're talking about. I feel like Melissa..........it rings a bell in my memory but I can't quite put my finger on it. Was it a black and white tile floor? It's been a little quieter than usual here at work, so I've been searching the forum for any threads including staircases and pictures. Sally posted this picture of a great staircase. I think the picture is of a real house but she was talking about duplicating it. (I wonder if she ever did?) http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/i...24&hl=staircase There's a really great picture of a staircase here: http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/i...wtopic=1460&hl= (oh wait, that's your house Glen, never mind)  Is the one Sally posted the one you're thinking about? glen
Wow, lovely houses but no. I'm sure the stairwell was metal and spiral and very modern. Like 2004 Now it's driving me crazy.
Deb
The only other spiral staircase I can remember seeing was the one Jing Jing posted in her witches house, but it wasn't modern. You realize this is keeping me awake at night. I haven't seen Holly on the forum for a few day so she must be out traveling, but maybe when she comes back, she'll remember. glen
Yes, I'm think that's the style of stairs but but I'm sure it was in a half built house. (Frustrated sigh) Glen

Peggi
http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/i...ype=post&id=169 Glen: could this be it? CatColorado posted last August asking for help with this. This would have been shortly after you joined. If so the topic is here http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/i...howtopic=422&hl=

wenlaine
This was one I had built but it's wood and when I posted this picture, there wasn't the railing on it yet. Could that be the one?
glen
No but wow. What a web site. Love your painting of yourself as a child. Have sent the address to work so I can look at it all on high speed internet. Thanks Glen
wenlaine
Thanks Glen, I hope you will let us know if you come across this staircase. You've piqued my interest.
havanaholly
I haven't seen Holly on the forum for a few day so she must be out traveling, but maybe when she comes back, she'll remember.I was think it was the one Cat posted the picture of. We spent Saturday trying to paddle 8+ miles 'way down upon the Suwanee River, but we've had so little rain it was more like watching the Volga boatmen as we'd paddle onto sandbars across the river and then hop out to drag them over to the dropoff (wearly knee-deep, plenty of loating draft!). Glen, if it was 'o4 it might be in the archives, you might try searching over there. Although if it was a link (we couldn't post pictures directly back then) the pictures may not be there any longer :o You've piqued my interest. Actually now I may start obsessing!
