Minis On The Edge
I think it's the black too Nutti. I think even doing a dark brown would soften it up a bit  . You are doing GREAT!! I love that yellow color you have!

Peggi
....I hope my house doesnt turn out to be peggi's house twin. I think since I am a twin, that would be very appropriate  I could just tell Polly (my twin) that her house is in Missouri Seriously, it won't be twins, I didn't use stucco effect. nuttiwebgal
brown is a subtle change from the black a major improvement to me but the grey I really like...although not certain how to bring the grey onto the rest of the house and I really wanted black roofs?waaaaaaaaaa somebody better call the WAAAM-bulance
Deb
I really like the brown lots better Nutti. It's lovely with the yellow. If you made the roofs a weathered grey instead of the black, would that pull in the like you want and come close to the roof you were imagining? Peggi used the stone fleck spray for her roof and it really worked well on the Lily. I think that comes in a grey with black flecks. havanaholly
I think that comes in a grey with black flecks. Or you could drybrush or pounce black & white sparingly over the fleckstone to soften it to what you want.

nuttiwebgal
LOL well thanks for all the input. but last night I painted the black... dolphin gray. I am going to paint the roofs a really dark gray with white trim and my Calypso blue as accent. as soon as the grey started going on I started seeing all those big wonderful homes down on the Beach in Pensecola. they all have wonderful porches for viewing the Ocean. with the plaster effect for the outside and the light colors it will make a lovely vacation home. Thanks for all the help...Im sure Ill be back! nutti
