Steve, I'm so impressed with your creativity and the skills you have to turn out a piece like this. I'm sure you will do well in the competition - good luck

But what makes the whole piece come alive are the two 'Morlocks' attacking the time traveler in his machine.

Just a quick look at the H.G.Wells novel, a turn of the century inventor builds a time machine & goes many thousands of years into the future where he finds the meek Eloi who are stalked by the evil Morlocks. The time traveler has to fight the Morlocks & return to his own time.

The time traveler doll I used in last year's entry, but I had to come up with the evil Morlocks. In the movie they lived underground & their eyes glowed, so, my Morlocks have 12 volt eyes that glow when the lights in the building are turned on. I drilled a hole in the floor & mounted a piece of 10 ga. wire, that I taped to thier upper legs, so I could pose them. This also helps hide the wires.

There are 2 other lights in the room to help light things up. All the wires are run through the base & out the back.

I don't know how good this is, but I had a lot of fun building it.

It has my vote too. What a neat idea. I love that movie and your time machine looks just like it. The Morlocks look just like them too.
