MiniMadWoman
I've seen several people adding .gif files (you know the ones that move) to their signature lines. How do you do that?
Cuppa-Tea
Yeah, how do you do that?? And how do you add a photo into a post at all? I can't find a way to upload one from my computer, and if I try to reference an online photo (say on Snapfish or here in my gallery) I get a message that "dynamic url's are not allowed" or something like that. beachpeach
i cant even add a photo to my post... i select upload file and it looks like its uploading then it say no file selected. whats up with that? IAK
Go to my controls and on the left column go down to Edit signature. A box opens up just like a post box. You can add pics by clicking on the box that says insert image. If there is a pic online you want to use, Right click on it and chose properties. It will open another window called properties, highlight the url address then copy the address from that window and put it in the Insert image window in here. Then update signiture! MiniMadWoman
Thanks, Irene! You're the hostess with the mostest!! So many choices, so little time!! To add a photo attachment, you would simply click on the 'Browse' button just below this section when you're adding a reply or starting a topic, select the photo from your computer and open it and then hit the 'Upload' button. It will put it in the "Manage Current Attachments" folder just above the browse and upload buttons. Then you go into that folder and select the picture and it will put it in this box. Cuppa-Tea
Okay, I didn't even see the attachment thing at the bottom of the screen... I have to scroll down to find it. I was trying to use the little icon just above the text box with a little photo of a sunset and if you point to it with your cursor it says "insert image." Then I was cutting and pasting the link to my photo, which would give me an error. Let me see if I can add an image to this post. Hey, it worked! Thanks! heidiiiii
Now if you want to add some of the Greenleaf smilies to your signature it can be a lil bit trickier. You have to right click on the smily you want, go down to properties, highlight the smilies address, copy it and then paste it. There is probably an easier way but that is the only way I could do it. beachpeach
ok i've been using Netscape and i thought that might be the problem... sooooooooo i tried Internet Explorer and i got a new error message.... " Upload failed. Please ask the administrator to check the settings and permissions".... now who do i need to talk to?
Peggi
These .gif added are really cute, but let's try and keep in mind to keep them small, we still have members on dial up and sometimes even with my cable connection, if several with larger files are in the topic it takes it slows down the loading of the topic so I'm sure with dial up it takes even longer. Has anyone else noticed this? If not, maybe it's my connection.

Mini Man
OK this is what the code looks like in my signature: [url=http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com][img=http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/images/bars/the_leaf.jpg][/url] It's an image that links to our website. This what it looks like: If you want just the image, the code would look like this: [img=http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/images/bars/the_leaf.jpg] This is the one I use when I'm on other forums which is a little more fancy: [url=http://greenleafdollhouses.com][img=http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/images/sig2.jpg][/url][b] [url=http://greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/index.php]Miniature Forum[/url] | [url=http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/index.php?act=module&module=gallery]Dollhouse Galleries[/url] | [url=http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/index.php?automodule=blog]Construction Blogs[/url] | [url=http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/index.php?showforum=39]Mini Swaps[/url][/b][/code] This image links to our site and then each of the links under the image go to their respective areas: [b] Miniature Forum | Dollhouse Galleries | Construction Blogs | Mini Swaps[/b] I hope that helps! Mini Man
The HTTP need to go to an image and you insert it with the image tag. Just look at the code in my first example Marg and I'm sure you'll get it!
ilovecats
Is it because it's a jpeg?
Mini Man
Just post what you are trying to link to and I'll use it as an example. I see it now Marge. You need to put it in the image tag like this: [img=http://icons.iconator.com/987/ICONATOR_f72f4f4363e8ca0d5c27ae9442a4664e.jpg] To get: The image tag is just right of the smiley button on the tool bar.
