prariegurl
Wow! You can find mini projects in the darndest places! I was organinzing my sewing craft stuff and came across a stack of patterns that I have never sewn. The one that caught my eye is a Vogue pattern with a 1997 copyright. Plese look at the pincushion and storage box! I measured the pattern pieces, and the chair/pincushion is 3" wide, 2 1/2" deep and 2 5/8" high. The ottoman/box is 2 1/4" wide, 2" deep and 1 1/8" high. This seems close to scale, but I can't be sure because I don't own anything remotley like it in mini or real life. Can anyone verify the scale for me? Thanks so much! Marlene
I have the same type of chair and ottoman in my living room and after measuring them for you compared to the measurements you gave...your pattern will work just perfect. May just have to find me one of those patterns. Good luck and hope to see the results.
KathieB
Neat, Jeri! It looks as if it would be right at home in a lady's boudoir. Think of the 3" width as being as wide as a real life yardstick. A nice cozy chair to lounge in while reading a bodice ripper and daintily chomping bon bons. :groucho: (Does anybody eat bon bons any more? )
chesterfieldzoo
When DH calls during the day and asks what I'm doing, the reply is always 'eating bonbons and watching soaps'! (Not exactly sure what a bonbon is. I've seen icecream ones in the store. And really haven't watched soaps in 26 years...)
TinyJudi
Hmmm....never had a bon bon either. I remember watching a cartoon with Porky Pig, I think it was. Anyways...there was a lady pig lying on a couch watching tv and eating bon bons. They looked like something chocolate, so they can't be all bad! The pics on the pattern envelope look like they would make nice minis. Congrats on finding your treasure!
Anna
One never know where a great mini-treasure is awaiting to be "found". Looking forward seeing this in real mini so to speak! (and no, don't have any bon bons around either... ) Hugs

LaurentiaFletwick
According to Wikipedia: bon·bon (bnbn) n. A candy that often has a center of fondant, fruit, or nuts and is coated with chocolate or fondant. Hope this helps! Donna
