Lighting queistion.

After i put the tape wire down do i paint over that or do i paint before? And then again i read somthing as while back on how you paint (or should i use primer?) well any ways after you paint/prime then put making tape over top and then paint/prime again so it dosn't showthough the wallpaper? i want to ask before i start my lighting.

I usually put the wire down first & then primer and paint. I'm sure others do it a different way, so I say "do what works for you."

I prime, then place the tapewire, wire-in the fixtures (or place outlets if you're using them), then cover with masking tape & finally paint/paper. This system works for me and I have no problems with the tapewire showing through, but there's no reason you can't prime over the tapewire.

I prime and then put the tape in and then paint or wallpaper. Then I guess and feel for the wires to put the fixtures in. Charlene's method is probably easier.

I primed my house then put the tapewire in (take pictures after putting in the tapewire--saves time finding it when you want to plug in something or troubleshoot) I didn't put masking tape over my wire, but I used wallpaper over it and have had no problems.
