Annette
Your doing a wonderful job Melanie. I love that green on the outside and having a water closet under the stairs is a brilliant idea.

Deb
Oh, that's just coming out cool Melanie! I'm so glad it struggled free from it's bonds and jumped out at you like that. It's just a glorious house! Deb

Shakyshaky
Thank you! I have to wait untill wed to do anymore. The kitchen trim will be red and I have the most of the rest of the trim ready to go. I am not sure what I am going to do about the attic floor as the tabs show through. I did cut a hole for the second stair and I need to do some rails. I want to do a yard and have the kids everywhere.
havanaholly
do about the attic floor as the tabs show through. Do whatever floor finish you fancy for it and then stain some wood putty to match (or fill with spackle, sand & cover with vinyl).
Shakyshaky
I wanted tolet you guys know I have two more pics of the Tennyson in the gallery. The outside is alomst finished. I didn't loose one piece of trim! It took two days to get it out. Now I just need to paint and glue it on. I will probably do the shingle last so that might be awhile. I gotta see if I have enough laying around. I should have more pics after christmas.
havanaholly
Well, the Tennyson really looks like an orphanage. I also have that kitchen set (got it for the Craftsman Bungalow...), the kids can bathe in the kitchen sink and you can always put the "necessary" in the yard. I really like the outside colors! Shakyshaky
The outside is done. I just added a few pics of the outside. I have finished the interior trim. Now I just need to decide what I am going to do with the attic floor, stair railing and the wall for the water closet. I think I have talked my uncle in law to makeing me some metal beds for the kids. I am excited about that. I just need to get him the finished plans. Hallowell
Love the colors and it's looking great. I just picked up a Tennyson shell from an antique dealer for 20 bucks. I'm looking forward to this remodel project, I love the looks of this house.
Shakyshaky
Thanks guys! I just love the double porch. The paint was left over from the kids toy room and I got it in the oops section so I have no idea what color it is, just light green. I'll post some pics of the inside as I get the rooms done. Shakyshaky
Added a couple more pics. Notice the front hinges are gone. They decided not work anymore so I added a sil and pinned the doors. They look nicer this way I think. I added some plants to the proch too. Thank you so much for your encouragement. I really like the way it has come out.
havanaholly
I really like the way it has come out. Me, too! It is a beautiful piece of work and a jolly orphanage!
Shakyshaky
I have had to really try not to fill it up. Being 1935 and an orphanage it would not have lots of clutter so I have had to really think about what goes in. I have a couple little things on order to finish it off. I hope they get here soon.
