Westbury Hall

Has anyone ever seen the Westbury Hall house? Any idea who makes the kit? I saw it in a book, but it did not tell the maker or where to find it. I've also tried ebay with no luck.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I've not heard the name. Is it a book you own? Maybe you could scan the picture so we can see what it looks like. That might ring bells for someone.

Was this a book by Jean Nesbitt, by any chance? The name of the house sounds British. There aren't any on eBay UK, either, though...

I have two thoughts on why it might be hard to find. One is age -- if a kit went out of production before the Web caught on, there aren't usually many appearances on people's Web sites. The other is that it may be an expensive house (it's not a current Lawbre, though). Really, really expensive houses rarely appear on Web sites other than the manufacturer's. The houses that show up on personal Web sites a lot tend to be complicated enough to need to be shown off, but not so pricey that an ordinary person can't afford one (so there are lots and lots of Beacon Hill photos out there!).

Added: The person in the magazine article with one is Kaye Browning, who started her collection in 1974. It turns out to have both old and British pieces.

Thanks! for everyone's ideas. I have scanned the pic, but can't get it to upload.... arrggghhh!!!!! The house was in a book called Dollhouse Minatures, and it is very British ...Tudor....The photo reference was a store in Illinois that has gone out of business, but it did mention that they sold that brand (Lawbre) so it may be a discontinued model. Oh well.

Thanks again for the help.
