blue_moon992
How do you fix this....... The top of the roof where the shingles meet is really not pretty lol. I don't really have any trim work that would fit there and look right..... Hm. Any thoughts? But I got the shingles up!! Horray!! Thanks!! Minis On The Edge
I use corner trim to give a clean edge on my roof lines. I'll show pics in one sec... JaimieMarvon
FleckStone spray paint. It will make your shingles look like real shingles. I did it on my Garfield roof, but on the wood, no shingles. Check out my pics if you are interested. Good luck!
Color Me Holly
I haven't gotten this far, yet. I plan to bend the shingles over the peak like its done on real houses. The shingles curl when wet. I will use silicon caulk to put the cap on and tape this down with lots of tape and let it dry.
blue_moon992
I use corner trim to give a clean edge on my roof lines. I'll show pics in one sec... That is prolly what I'll end up doing. I smushed the very top row down as far as i could get it and that is still what I ended up with lol. It's not horrible, but, it can be better. Think I'll stain them in a bit... Thanks
Charlene
You can use peak trim, corner trim, or edge trim and you can also use half-shingles at the peak...those are laid perpendicular to the roof shingles with the two half shingles meeting at the peak. Any of these will give your roof a nice, finished look.
KathieB
You can also use scissors to trim the uneven shingles at the roof line. That will clean it up some, even without adding trim.
havanaholly
I use split shingles laid along the roofline, I've also used split siding strips. With sandpaper shingles & construction paper slates I used strips of the same material and with the corrugated "tin" roof I used a strip of aluminum foil.
