eamedling
Hello, all! I scored my first proper dollhouse on Craigslist yesterday, and it's a Laurel in desperate need of repair, so I thought I would jump on this forum to see what resources are available. Most of the construction is hot-glue, so I've been very carefully removing pieces and trying to figure out what my next steps are. Right now the porch needs the most work, but a lot of the detailing is also in jeopardy and it needs a new paint job. It had been at a Montessori school and got some rough handling, I expect. My other miniature project is a partially-completed room box that will eventually be a Tudor cottage, when I have the time to get it finished. I'm looking forward to browsing around the forums. Thank you!
Mid-life madness
Welcome Liz, I'm still working on my Laurel, it is my first build too. It is a house that has nice large rooms. I can't wait to see pictures of your house.

havanaholly
Welcome to the little family, Liz. My first take-it-all-apart-and-totally-rebuild-it rehab was a Laurel: http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/?app=gallery&module=gallery&controller=browse&album=1103, although it took me a bit of searching on the Greenleaf store site to identify it, as the porch had never been built and the parts were not there (I have "before" & "after" pictures of Poor Pitiful Pearl). The doors had been glued shut and the windows were put on with hot glue, so removing them destroyed them, and I got to make new doors and windows. I made a porch with strip wood and foam core.
