Sherry
I need to make a string of peppers in fimo. If I make the peppers individually and arrange them in a bunch on the baking sheet and bake them stacked together, will they stick together? Or should I just wait and glue them together later and risk getting glue on something I shouln't? Told you it was a dumb question but I really don't know! Momof2Moos
Aren't they attached to a string in RL? I would make a bunch of them with tiny holes in the stem and then thread some string through them all. No glue involved.
Sherry
Nah, I want them as a group, semi-flat on the back where they hang against the wall, and wouldn't want all that string all over the place. I just need to know if pieces of fimo laying on each other will fuse when cooked.
Momof2Moos
Oh. Well, I think if you score the pieces in a cross hatch pattern where they would be connected, then, yes, they should.
what2craftnow
Well, if they don't stick together to your satisfaction after the baking process, I would think coating them with whatever you use to shine them up would seal the deal, so to speak :o Or maybe you could poke small holes in them, and after baking just stick them on some floral wire twisted to the shape you are going for  . With a tiny dot of glue in each hole, I think they would stick just fine. Good luck! ( and share pics when you finish - would love to see them )
havanaholly
I would think sticking them together with a little liquid Fimo would do the trick. Why not experiment? (dumb answer? You know how I feel about "dumb" questions!)
Sherry
Thanks, Holly. I have some liquid Sculpey, so I'll just try that!
JaniceG
The sculpey things I have made by just pressing pieces together have been quite delicate. Just yesterday a basket handle fell off. I think I will check out the liquid fimo too.
havanaholly
Once the pieces are baked I've had reasonable luck with tacky glue, but I apply wee bits with a toothpick and let then dry.
