Brezavaqt
It seems 14 x 20 is the most common size for carpeting. I know there's 18 x 26 out there somewhere. Does anyone know of a place where I can purchase this size? I'm looknig for baby yellow & I need it before the end of the week! HELP!! Thanks in advance! otterine
Bre, poke around on Just Miniature Scale: http://www.justminiaturescale.com/Search.a...%20ASC&p=16 They have cream, yellow, etc. And, they carry the larger sizes. You might just give them a call, too. :thumb:
cranky
ya know, i did all wood floors in my first house, so i don't know a lot about carpet, but i was at joanns one day with my wife, and just for curiosity sake, i was looking at fabric for carpet use, and i found some different colored fabric that looked exactly like mini carpet. i couldn't tell you what fabric it was, but it looked just like carpet, only mini, the nap was right, and everything!!! i don't know if i will ever do anything in carpet, but if i do, thats what i will buy. it was like, $2.99 a yard!!! that's a lot of carpet? it had a backing on it too, so it looked like it would glue down nicely. i think it might have been an upholstery fabric. That would be my suggestion... just look at upholstery fabric. It's alot more economical.
Caseymini
Do you have Handcocks Fabric stores where you are? They have a table that is just remnants and cut offs of upholstry fabric here. That's where I get most of my rugs. Any good fabric store ususally carries plush upholstery fabric. That's what I use most of the time. havanaholly
I bought a remnant grab bag from an upholstery outlet store going out of business a few years ago, it's like a lifetime supply!
Debra from Olde Cape Cod
I was in an upholstery store one time and they had big bundles of discontinued samples for only a few dollars. Got quite a few that day.
