nursedebbiepink
i have a dollhouse that i am in love with. my husband got it for me for christmas last year. it was shipped via greyhound bus from kansas to new york! that's how much i love it!) i love everything about this house except for the fact that the previous owner put down ugly green felt for a rug on the second floor bedroom. how do i remove it?. it is glued down. thanks
justmesue
I would rip up as much of it as possible. Then spray the rest, gently dampen it with water, and scrape it off carefully with a small wood scraper (scrapes backwards) and window scraper (helps to lift and cut the old glue underneat) Be careful to keep your scrapers flat, you do not want to dig into the floor. It will take awhile, but it does work.
Corwin
whats left over after that i think you can use a verry dry damp cloth with vinger and water to remove the rest. What are you going to put in there in stead?
chellebelle
Undoit will undo the adhesive.
chesterfieldzoo
Yep, peel off what you can, scrape as much left as you can, and wipe with one of the solvents listed. So, then, what are you going to put down in it's place?
kellee
LOL, I have the same problem and I have been putting it off for a while now. Kellee
butlerestates
I had nasty wood flooring glued in the house I'm working on now. I was able to scrape it all off and then sand the last bits of old glue off. By the time I finished (it was the whole floor not just one room) my hand was bruised and hurt for days but the floors look great now
kellee
I am not sure what they used on this floor, but I have tried everything... and gave up so many times I cant count. I keep putting it off until I can come up with something.I believe it was put down with liquid nails.! Kellee
