the beginning

I dry-fit the house on the plywood base as soon as I got the kit, but it took me awhile to glue it down, and that wasn't before I had bashed the roof angle to be off-center, glued all the windows shut, shortened the door quite a bit, and glued a support brace down the middle of the under-floor to keep it from bowing. I used foamboard to cover the roof. Then I had to think quite a bit about the next step to make it a stoney hill, and it sat for quite a while until I thought of using dry florist's foam to form the base. Had fun carving the foam!
