Mrs. T and Lucie 2

rbytsdy

Mrs. T's head and hands are made of DAS paperclay mounted on florist's wire, and the clay was barely dry whilst painting! I had to detach the doll's legs from the torso because I needed her to be sitting as in one of the story illustrations; Mrs. T was easier to stage this way, as I poked her head and limbs into a piece of foam. I formed feet for each of them out of DAS onto florist's wire and poked them so that they're sticking out on the correct side. Mrs. T's "prickles" are sewing pin ends, and yes I did poke a finger or three while working on her wardrobe! I made the clothes mostly by sewing (and a bit of gluing and pinning and spray-starching here and there).
