Mrs. T and Lucie

Mere days before my last chance to take pictures, I was sending my mother pics of what I had so far and asked her "do you think it needs a Lucie?" She replied that she thought it needed Mrs. Tiggy-winkle also! I had staged a doll in my Three Bears contest entry a couple years ago, but this is the first time that I had tackled an anthropomorphic character like this. So I spent the entire past Saturday furiously working away on the pair, posed in a manner based on the illustration in the story where they both sit down and have tea together.

amazing work. I don't know these characters but when i first saw them sitting in front of the fireplace, i instantly thought of thumbelina and Mrs field mouse.

Hi rbytsdy! When I was going thru the photos of the Spring Fling newsletter, I was really intrigued with your project. I wondered what you had based it on and I'm so glad I found your blog explaining it all. Just looking at photos really doesn't convey all the thoughtful work that went into it, especially for someone like me who, I'm sad to admit, never read the book.

You should be very proud, having produced something that really draws people in and mades us wish we could crawl in there and have tea with Mrs T and Lucie! Well-done!
