Mrs. T's stove is a prominent feature to me in the story illustrations, so I consulted grazhina's blog on Victorian kitchens http://victoriandecorating.blogspot.com/2007/02/victorian-kitchen.html which was very helpful to me in making the stove. I made the stove and cabinets from balsa mostly, with card and matboard detailing, and posterboard supports. I coated the interior with joint compound to look like a mud finish.
