San Franciscan SF557 - full exterior.
This is the only MDF house that I have built so far; I had wanted the San Fran for a while because I liked the style, and I enjoyed building it, but I am back on Greenleaf kits now...! (After building this house I am not an MDF fan, though I am pleased with how this house turned out overall.) Now this house is bouncing its way across the country to its new owner, my niece; it is, by far, the heaviest I've built...!
The San Fran that inspired me the most was A&C Construction's lovely green San Fran; one especially clever thing that they did was bash out some of that large roof space to make an extra gable window. If I ever build another San Fran, I will have to try that.
The exterior color is Olympic interior latex semi-gloss in "Green Tea Leaf". For the foundation, I used the brick powder that came with the kit; I had never used something like that before but I like how it turned out. I did alot of research on 1920's art deco style while I was building this house-- I don't know how well I captured that style, but that was an influence.
Thanks for looking!
