LizB
Has anyone added a back wall with hinges, and windows cut out, to the Beacon Hill? My daughter suggested doing that and I am in favor because it would give it a more "early dollhouse" look to it. And maybe keep down some of the dust entering! I have already finished the Beacon Hill (yeah!!!) Thanks for the help! -LizB
havanaholly
If it's already finished you might want to do a tad of surgery on it to add stripwood reinforcement along the inside edges of the side walls, at least the side you'll hinge, to bear the extra weight of a back wall. I think it's an excellent idea.
justmesue
I also like the idea! Keep us posted!
whippet-gal
When I get round to it, I'm going to get some plexiglass (perspex?) cut to fit my DH opening fronts/backs. Perhaps I'll add a couple of pieces of chanelling to the sides to slide it into. Then I'd be able to see in, but it would keep the dust down. madhatter
I was also considering the plexi idea, i like the idea of putting a back on though. Hope you post pics. jenn
