Tisha
Hello I bought this Holweck doll house at Goodwill. Can anyone help? I need to put it together with the bag of windows, doors and stairs that came with it. Some of the pieces are missing. I am new to the miniature world but have always wanted a doll house and finally have one at 54 years old. lol https://www.dropbox.com/s/n3i8vcbngthe6v1/Doc1.docx?dl=0
Mid-life madness
That's a great house and it is known as a Hofco in dollhouse circles. You must have a very early version. I think this is your exact house http://dollhouseminiatureskits.com/federal_victorian_dollhouse_kit_hofco_house_174_front_opening.html It is the Hofco Federal Victorian Front-Opening dollhouse. Do you have instructions? Here is a copy https://www.dollhouseworkshop.net/instructions/Hofco/Federal Victorian 174.pdf The shell looks very intact. What specific questions do you have? P.S. Welcome to the group Edited July 22, 2020 by Mid-life madness
havanaholly
Welcome to the little family, Tisha. There is no limit on age if you want a dollhouse to look at or play with, and it looks like you latched onto a really pretty one. Since Carrie has linked you to the instructions you can see if you're really missing anything. Whilst you're glomming on how to make replacements you can post an introduction in the Newcomers' Forum. I was 50 when I built my first kit. Edited July 22, 2020 by havanaholly

Tisha - welcome to the community! Looks like you have a good start there and it should be a beautiful piece when you are finished. I love seeing vintage houses revived and restored and completed.

I was 50 when I built my first kit. I have enjoyed learning about the doll house. So far, I have primed it with paint. What a chore that was lol. It is huge! I have much to do before that. I have been priming the outside with its first coat of paint. It is huge!
havanaholly
Oh, but you have to stage your furniture to see what fits... Nobody said you can't play with it whilst you're building it.
