Anybody know of some great links or how to's.

Or

Some pre builts form vendors ?

Another option is Magic Stone.  It's a kit that uses a stencil and a powder that you mix with water to make a frosting-like paste.  You paint the surface of your wall or chimney the color you want your grout, apply the stencil, smear on the paste, then remove your stencil.  I used it on the wall of my Merrimack (keep in mind mine is half scale, which makes the stones look larger).

Getting the stencil on was the trickiest part, because the little stone cut-outs tended to get everywhere, but I really liked the texture I got from it.

Add equal amounts of water & white glue to the powder mixture; the white glue (all-purpose, NOT school glue) acts as a binder so the powder isn't likely to flake off over time.

Thank you all again for the links and knowledge shared.

You have me thinking and pondering on directions now for sure.

I love all your builds.

Truly fantastic and the inspiration is over flowing from them all.

Thanks again for all the help and advice to help build a better little house.
