KathieB
I took Corwin's idea to use twist ties for mini blinds, but I simplified it considerably. I didn't separate the ties but simply trimmed them to fit the window and glued them on whole. I did this for a vignette that isn't going to have a long life, but I think I'd use this technique in one of my dollhouses, should the need for mini-blinds arise. havanaholly
trying to figure out a way to make a little round table like the wooden ones in RL that have 3 wooden legs and you put a decorative tablecoth on them What about gluing a piece of styrofoam into a jar lid the desired diameter and then cutting three pieces of 1/8" dowel the desired length for legs & dipping them in glue & then sticking them into the styrofoam? Since the jar lid will be covered with the pretty tablecloth, you only need to stain the legs.

prariegurl
When I was at the Frederick, MD show on Sunday, D'Anne Ruff was there and had the most wonderful pleated shades. They were made using her 1/4" tiny pretty pleater, and a small brass rind was attached to the bottom as a shade pull. Although they are not on her web site, I am sure you cold buy them by contacting her at her site www.danneruff.com, or even make your own if you have the tiny pleater. mini_kat
I also went to the dollar tree store and found a paper crimper that does a wavey design That would work for blinds. thought of useing it to make coragated roofing out of tin foil. I used cardstock put through one of those crimpers for mini blinds and was very pleased with the results. I didn't know they had them at Dollar Tree! Will have to go pick one up and stop borrowing one from my friend, who is insulted at using it for other than scrapbooking!!!
