Soapz
Hello everyone, today I thought about all the stuff I learned -skills-wise - just because I mini. I'm talking skills that don't really have anything to do with minis or at least nobody would typically relate to miniatures. So, here are a few of mine: - paper-marbling (water and dry marbling) - soldering metals - working with epoxy resins - polymer clay works - sculpting - veneering and my drawing skills in regards to geometric 3D figures have drastically improved.... hahahaha So, what have you picked up along the way? havanaholly
Woodworking and some cabinetry, sculpture, texturing. I am also learning to adapt a lot of my other hobbies and abilities to 1:12 and smaller. My mind was already used to working outside of the box.

Selkie
Um, I seem to have missed the course in patience. Is there still room on the sign up sheet? I'm still as, or perhaps even more, impatient as ever. sigh ...
KathieB
I'm sort of the opposite. Skills I gained over a lifetime plus an open mind as to how they are applied are useful in my miniatures.
smjsome
Confidence! I've learned I can do it, I can use power tools and, I can do it. We have an older home and I'm able to actually see and plan and if I can wrench the tools out of my husbands hands, I can actually do remodel work. The creativity of dollhouse work, envision my end scene, and how I want it to come out, how to get there, has taught me so much
