pinkhare
I can't for the life of me figure out how to brace the floors in my orchid while they dry. Help? Edited May 6, 2008 by pinkhare
uppitycats
What do you mean, "brace the floors"? Are they already installed (at which point they don't need bracing..the walls are holding them up) or "loose" -- if loose, just paint one side, lay them on something like cookie sheets, or even (dry)spaghetti stretched out on your work table (a small handful, spread the approximate size of the piece you're painting) would work... If you're using latex paint, they should dry in 2 hours. Then paint the other side and do the same thing -- lay on cookie sheets (wet side up) or on something like the spaghetti. Peggi
Sarah glad you figured it out. You will often see many of swear that you can't have to many clamps (in various sizes) or can't live without masking or painters tape.
sommerstern7
At least you're affixing your floors. We decided to WAX, not GLUE all the floors, mouldings, and tin ceilings into MY Orchid to access the lighting that aren't even in yet.

Many folks use doublesided tape to make the electrics accessible.
