I kept thinking that it looked too busy with the couch. So I took that away and added a dining room table (chairs are on the way). I am much happier with the way this room looks now. I am trying to keep things as spartan as I can in keeping with the colonial nature of this house.

I like the wall color and white wainscoting, did you ever see the John Adams series? it takes you through the construction of the White House as the Adams were the first family to live there. Very Colonial

Love this table and the pweter tea pot! My Miss Austen would be very glad to take her cup of tea in this parlor. Debora I agree! I have it on dvd it is perfect as far as interior decoration concerns!
