the parquet (grumble hiss boo) is finished... and no pieces were lost to the blender (where I still wanted to grind them to bits) ... I have not decided exactly what I am going to do for the boarder yet.... once I decide and have it installed the whole thing will be stained walnut so the colors won't be so painfully different.

thank you everyone :) I am very happy now that it is done... this little floor was pricey and I couldn't wrap my head around the fractions to get the floor centered... it's still off a bit, but I don't think it is noticeable, especially once the boarder in on and every thing is stained one color.... to be honest though... once I got the first square glued down, the rest went pretty easy... I do like the look though.
