Guest room 2

otterine

The two prints are Crimson Dusk and Today by Edward Raymes (left to right). The flowers are made from a Bonnie Lavish dahlia kit. I made the sunflower lamps, dresser with mirror, bed and bedding, and side table as well as the llama rug and the peacock pillow. The only thing left for this room are window treatments and a few other accessories.

Brae I love this room. I'm curious about the windows...when you put an "outside view" in a window, how do you treat the window from the other side? Do you do the same thing with a picture of the inside of the room or do you do something else? I have got to try this with my next house, so far I've just been satisfied with getting the windows in straight and an occasional curtain :p

Thanks, everyone! :D

Judith - the scene outside is just a landscape printed on regular paper - tabloid size, which I think it 11" x 14" - then taped to a spare piece of foam core board. I prop the board up behind the windows and situate it so that the scene shows in all windows at a certain angle. The windows themselves are just regular clear acetate windows. When doing outside shots showing the inside of the room, I will often put a piece of matching scrapbook paper that I used in any given room to fill in the open back...then it looks like a real, whole room.
