I added a one inch wood strip with reinforcements underneath to each of the 2nd floor porches. This made the porches much more usable and I was able to open the French doors fully. I now should have room for a chair or two so the porches are much more inviting. Once the flooring extension was glued then I did mini brickwork and added mortar. This photo shows how the 2nd floor bedroom porch looks with the new brick floor.

Thanks!  I am getting pretty handy at laying mini bricks!   At first I was going to use tile for the 2 porches but since I had some bricks leftover I went with that plan.
