Makes a lot of sense to add space to these. I have never finished mine. They seemed like such a lot of work for the doors and then just such a tiny wasted space. This is a fabulous idea. Hope you don't mind if I borrow some of it when I get back to mine.

Selkie, that's why it's so nice to post photos on this forum...to share ideas and get suggestions.   I hope you will try adding porch extensions on your build too when you get back to the Garfield.   The original porches were so tiny and now they are much more usable!   I'd love to see yours when you get them finished.
