If You Built The Lily

Hi Mary, I papered the walls before I assembled them, but the Lily was my first house (I learned alot!) and if I build it again, I'll paper most of the rooms after assembly. The front foyer has to be pre-papered though because there is no getting in there once the walls are together...

Thanks, rbytsdy. I was looking at what some people did with it and that's what I thought about the foyer.

Holly, thanks, I know. Just wanted to get a feel from those who made it what they thought was easier.

My Mom built the Lily about 3 years ago and gave it to me that Easter. I have since re-papered just about all of it with the exception of the front hall or foyer. dont think I could get in there if I tried. I do remember Mom saying that if she hadn't put the curtains in the windows on the 3rd floor prior to gluing them in place she would have never been able to do it later.

I wenr a step further and took a piece of wood and made a very amatuerish wall between the dining room and living room, instead of the "open floor plan". If I ever change the paper in the dining room or living room again I'd probably re-do the wall a little more sturdy.

I snagged a addition I'm going to put on my Whitney since I've never been able to come to terms with the tiny spot I've been trying to use as a bathroom. Lilliput #455 is my next project. Who knows maybe the bedroom will become the bathroom and the bedroom can move in to the new digs.....

Enjoy "the build"

Jo

Linda is the Queen of Wallpapering.

LOL! No Holly, I'm not the queen of wallpapering. I'm just crazy. I can't get a feel for what I want until it's built, so then I HAVE to wallpaper after assembly. It's made for some interesting angles and twisting in all different directions to get into rooms and angles...
